The Stingrays will be working out players interested in joining this established team.  We invite High School age players to contact us for further information.  The Stingrays will continue to play a competitive schedule including Top Level Showcases and National Events.  Our 2014 schedule has been completed and is posted on the schedule page.  Our fall 2014 schedule is being finalized and will be posted soon.

This team is comprised of players from many different areas in and out of Florida.  Our practice schedule accommodates those situations while expecting consistent and productive skill work at home.

Unlike many other teams that compete at this level the Stingrays maintain a relatively small roster.  While this allows a greater opportunity for playing time, a player’s productivity dictates the amount.  The team is coached by a non-parent coach and outside skill trainers will be utilized when possible.  Because of this the team will remain operational year after year.  As a class of players graduates new players will be brought in to fill the roster.  Special efforts are made to balance the team grade and position wise.

Please feel free to contact us for more information. We will schedule individual workouts as requested.  We don’t have cattle call tryouts - we invite all interested families to come to a practice to assure that what we do fits into their expectations.

Since the organization's founding in 1984, the Stingrays have been based on the principle that doing things the right way leads to incredible results both on and off the field. The coaching staff practices high-positive coaching techniques while expecting maximum effort at all softball related activities. Academic commitment is expected of all our young athletes, along with family-based support for community involvement.  Well rounded athletes make great lifelong citizens.

The Central Florida Stingrays - STINGRAYS GOLD -  follow the same path that the parent organization continues to take.  This current team is competitive on the field and in the classroom.  With a combined 3.82 un-weighted GPA our players understand the importance of academics as a means of excelling in life.  They continue to drive themselves in the classroom by taking advanced coursework while staying involved in high school activities.  Time management for these athletes is important, and mastering it is one reason why they are able to excel on and off the field.  Even though this team is made up of young athletes the team’s roster is full of softball related honors.

This team’s families have committed to playing the sport at its highest level.  Our schedule is full of events that will test the players on the field.  Our goals are to compete at PGF/ASA Nationals and play in the toughest Showcase events we are invited to.  Our players have a desire to find a university where they can continue their softball careers while working at a field of study that will set the stage for their post-collegiate careers.  This team is a very unique group of young ladies.  The Stingrays are proud to have them all wear our jerseys – any university they attend will feel the same way.

Above all else a very fundamental thought will pervade for this team -- Players play, coaches coach and parents sit in the stands eating hot dogs - and enjoy watching their daughters excel. It goes by very fast.
